The XDA Developers has a good track record regarding the leaks about Xiaomi devices, in the past they have unearthed several key aspects of the upcoming devices by inspecting the firmware files and now today they have come up with a new set of information about the upcoming Mi Pad 4 tablet, which is the successor of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3.
According to the leaked files obtained by XDA Developers, the boolean value present in the MIUI configuration file is about “is_18x9_ratio_screen” which suggest the tablet may feature an 18:9 aspect ratio. The tablet will have an LCD panel like the Mi Pad 3, its default screen density is set to a low value of 320ppi. Also, the ro.build.characteristics property in the build.prop is set to “tablet”. This property is used to confirm a tablet interface, the same property is also seen Mi Pad 3. The tablet will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset which is clocked at 2.0 GHz. Sadly, their is no information about the the RAM or storage capacities, while the “nosdcard” property is missing from ro.build.characteristics that indicates the device may feature a microSD card slot. The device will pack a 6,000 mAh battery.
The rear single camera will feature a 13-megapixel with OmniVision OV13855 sensor and an aperture of 2.0 . At the front, a 5-megapixel Samsung S5K5E8 sensor with an aperture of f/2.0, while the MIUI configuration file states that it won’t support NFC. Considering the fact that the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 was launch in April 2017 we expect the Mi Pad 4 will be launched soon.
