OnePlus 6 with 6.28-Inch AMOLED Display, SD 845 Officially Launched


               After a lot of rumors and speculations the OnePlus has finally launched the much awaited flagship smartphone OnePlus 6 at an event held on London. As usual the  the novelty also promises to offer the flagship experience at a lower price which is always been the motto of OnePlus.   The OnePlus 6 retail price start at $529 US dollar, which is just a $30 dollar increase as compared to the starting price of the OnePlus 5T.

                The  OnePlus 6 feature 6.28-inch Optic AMOLED  display (~83.8% screen-to-body ratio) with a resolution of  2280 x 1080, there's also support for both sRGB and DCI-P3 with an aspect ratio of 19:9 (~402 ppi density). The body of the device is made out of glass (Gorilla Glass 5 protection at the back as well as front) and aluminum frame which makes it more lighter without compromising on durability. 

               OnePlus 6  is powered by Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with multiple variant of RAM and internal storage like 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM+256GB (2-lane UFS 2.1) internal storage options, but has no option for  microSD expansion as usual. The OnePlus 6 will run on Android 8.1. with the latest Android P beta support. OnePlus has also made a lot of change in the UI of the OP 6, it will now support gesture  for navigation, swiping left or right takes you a step back or forward similarly swiping up from the center brings the home screen. There are some other  features include like reading mode, gaming mode etc. The device will pack 3300mAh battery and is charged over the fast Dash Charge (5V at 4A). Surprisingly, there’s no wireless charging support despite the glass back.

               The  camera department features a dual rear camera setup with 16MP primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.7 , 1.22um pixels (that is 19 % increase which brings more light into the sensor with less noise) with support for OIS,EIS and the 20MP secondary sensor with a higher aperture of f/1.7. There is also 16 MP front camera with an aperture of f/2.0 for selfies, it is also  uses an AI to create the Portrait mode’s bokeh and face unlocking in 0.4s.  The smartphone also supports 4K videos at 60 fps (similar to Galaxy S9 and iPhoneX) , Slo-mo video recording at 480 fps @ 720p for up to a minute, a new video editor with  adding filters, music etc.

                The connectivity features included are   Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac,dual-band,DLNA,Bluetooth5.0,A GPS,GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO. The latest model sports gigabit with 4x4 MIMO antennas also there will be two major variants – NA/EU (40 bands) and CN/IN (37 bands). The OnePlus 6 is water resistant too, but the company hasn’t revealed IP certification yet (it should be IP54 equivalent). There are three color options available Mirror Black (high gloss), Midnight Black (Matte finish), and Silk White (a limited edition variant). 

               The 6GB+64GB Mirror Black edittion is having a price range of  $529 US dollar, the 8GB+128GB Mirror Black is priced at $579 US dollar, the 8GB+128GB Midnight Black is priced at $579 US dollar, the 8GB+256GB Midnight Black  is priced at $629 US dollar, the 8GB+128GB Silk White is priced at $579 US dollar and will be go on sale later in June.
