Apple to Discontinue iPhone X & iPhone SE This Year, to Boost the Demand for the New Models

Recently, there were several leaks and 3D renders about Apple's three new upcoming devices, such as second-generation iPhone 11 (iPhone X 2018), a larger iPhone 11 Plus (iPhone X Plus 2018), a budget iPhone 9 ( 6.1 inch iPhone) with LCD display, and as per the latest report all the three smartphone will arrive this year ( may be released in September 2018). Now today, an analyst ( John Donovan and Steve Mullane) from BlueFin Research has claimed that Apple will discontinue iPhone SE and iPhone X smartphone this year, and according to them the company will shifts its focus towards the 2018 iPhone models
According to the report BlueFin analysts predict a high amount of “pent-up demand” for this year’s upcoming new iPhones due to the “lack of upgrade activity over the past few years.” Because of this, the analysts has predicted that Apple will manufacture 91 million units of its new 2018 iPhones during the last two quarters of this year, and eventually the company would ramp-up its production and they will manufacture 92 million units during the first two quarters of 2019,  which seems to be far larger than normal cycles. We suspect this huge forecast of 180 million unit could be also for compensating the demand due to discontinuation of iPhone X and the iPhone SE in Q3, this year.

The analysts further claims that the Apple will make 28 million units of the iPhone 9, 11 and 11 Plus in Q3 , which seems to be more from a prior estimate of 24 million units. They also expect another 63 million units in Q4, 46 million units in Q1, 2019, and 46 million units in Q2, 2019. All those numbers seems to be higher than they were expected previously. The analysts further believes that the iPhone 11 Plus will satisfy those users who were unhappy with the iPhone X due to its smaller size, while the iPhone 9  should satisfy more budget-conscious buyers and  the iPhone 8 will stick around at the lower-end of the market due to the discontinuation of  iPhone X and iPhone SE.
