Back in 2016, Huawei has launched Honor Magic, which supports 5V/8A fast charging that enable its users to charge their smartphone in just 45 minutes. Now today Huawei’s new power adapter has been spotted on 3C certification, under the model number HW-100400C00, which revealed some key information about its charging capabilities.
According to the 3C certification the adapter, which is manufactured by Yada Electronics Co. Ltd. has highest output of 10V/4A , so the maximum charging power of this new power adapter will be 40W, which seems to be much faster than the 22W fast charing on the Huawei P20-series smartphones. However, it is speculated that the next-generation Huawei Super Charge 40W fast charging technology will charge the smartphone to 90 percent in just 30 minutes.
At present most flagship smartphone are having fast charging technologies, which make the device to get charge up in a little time. There are several such technologies available, including Qualcomm Quick Charge, OnePlus Dash Charge, among others. Now, when comparing Huawei’s next-generation fast charging technology with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 that takes 30 minutes or less to charge 50 percent and OnePlus Dash Charging can get to 60 percent charge in just 30 minutes, Huawei Super Charger seems to be significantly faster. This next-gen fast charging technology is expected to debut on upcoming Mate 20-series smartphones that will be launched in October this year.
